​U.S. Operations in Iran

​Speaking on the current situation this Friday, President Trump announced that the United States has destroyed 42 Iranian naval vessels within just three days. Beyond naval assets, the President asserted that Iran’s Air Force and telecommunications infrastructure have also been decimated.

​"America is doing 'very well' in Iran—it has been extraordinary," Trump stated during his address. He took a moment to honor the American personnel killed in the conflict, calling them "great heroes of our country" and noting that they are returning home in a manner different than they imagined. He emphasized his commitment to keeping U.S. military casualties at a "minimum."

​UK Preparedness: HMS Prince of Wales on Standby

​Amid the rising tensions, the United Kingdom is also bolstering its military presence in the region. Sources have confirmed to the BBC that the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales has been placed on a 5-day notice to depart from Portsmouth.

​While the vessel was originally scheduled for a maintenance period before a mission in the North Atlantic to counter Russian aggression, it is now being prepared for potential deployment to the Mediterranean. This move is seen as a strategic step to protect British interests in the Middle East following threats from the escalating conflict.

​The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has already increased its footprint in the region since January. Current deployments include:

​Ground Support: An additional 400 personnel deployed to Cyprus to strengthen air defense systems.
